Ako zabezpečiť bicykel proti krádeži?

Bicykel je častým objektom krádeží. Väčšina z ukradnutých bicyklov sa k pôvodným majiteľom nikdy nevráti, čo pri drahých bicykloch zamrzí niekoľkonásobne. Ak niekam odkladáte svoj bicykel, mali by ste predovšetkým myslieť na to, ako čo najviac minimalizovať riziko krádeže.

Ako predísť krádeži?

Ak nechávate bicykel na ulici, vždy ho zabezpečte kvalitným bezpečnostným zámkom. Bicykel je dobré uzamknúť k pevnému bodu – k stojanu, stĺpu či zábradliu. To isté platí pre viacero bicyklov – nikdy nezamykajte bicykle len o seba. Dávajte si však pozor, aby zámok nebolo možné cez predmet, o ktorý zamykáte bicykel, jednoducho prevliecť. Pri zamykaní bicykla sa snažte vyhnúť roztržitosti či lenivosti. Presvedčte sa, či ste zámok zamkli správne – napríklad, či je docvaknutý, alebo ste nezabudli pootočiť číslami na zámku s číselnou kombináciou.

Bicykel je najlepšie odkladať na miesta, na ktoré dovidíte. Vhodné sú tiež rušné miesta, kde je stále veľa ľudí a vnútorné priestory budov. Všetky cenné veci a odnímateľné cyklodoplnky (napr. tachometer, tašku ap.) si nezabudnite vziať so sebou, aby zbytočne nelákali pozornosť zlodejov.

Vyznáte sa v zámkoch?

Existuje niekoľko typov zámkov na bicykel. Každý z nich je iný a prispôsobený svojmu účelu. Naučte sa, aké sú v nich rozdiely a v čom spočívajú ich výhody či nevýhody.

Lankové

Lankové zámky predstavujú základný a najpoužívanejší typ. Tieto zámky mávajú pri menších dĺžkach štandardne tvar slzy, pri väčších špirály. Sú najčastejšie používané najmä pre ich skladnosť, pomerne nízku váhu a jednoduchú manipuláciu. Pri samotnom uzamykacom systéme máte na výber kódový zámok (pri lepších modeloch s nastaviteľným kódom) alebo klasickú kľúčovú variantu. Lankové zámky sú však najmenej bezpečné a pre zlodejov bývajú zvyčajne najľahším orieškom.

Reťazové

Tieto zámky majú oproti lankovým vyššiu pevnosť, ale i váhu. Oká z kalenej ocele sú pre zlodeja náročnejšou záležitosťou. “Cvakačky“ si s ním poradia len veľmi ťažko a pod pílkou reťaz jednoducho uhne. Tento typ je však pre jeho vysokú váhu zvyčajne kratšej dĺžky.

Valčekové

Valčekové zámky majú podobné vlastnosti ako reťazové, no sú založené na odlišnom princípe. Ide o tenký lankový zámok obalený hrubšou valcovinou, ktorá sa pri pokuse o prepílenie pretáča. Vďaka širokému priemeru je pre zlodejov problematické tiež použitie klieští. Valčekové kliešte sú o čosi ľahšie než reťazové.

U-zámky

U-zámky sú všeobecne považované za najodolnejší a najbezpečnejší variant zámkov na bicykel. Treba však počítať s tým, že nie sú dostatočne flexibilné. Sú obmedzené dĺžkou, stálym tvarom a vysokou hmotnosťou.

Bordo

Veľmi špecifickým typom sú zámky od značky Abus typu Bordo. Sú odolnosťou porovnateľné s U-zámkami, no sú dlhšie a zároveň tvarovateľné. Ich nevýhodou je vysoká váha, ale i cena.
Zapamätajte si, že vždy je lepšie investovať do kvalitného zámku než do nového bicykla.
